The dream that came to be

The dream started twenty-five years ago when Jim Damalas made his first trip to Costa Rica, camping in what was later to become Manuel Antonio National Park. The splendor and cathedral-like sanctity of the surrounding rainforest and beached made quite an impression on him. Two decades later, what began as a vision inspired by the natural beauty of Manuel Antonio, became the Hotel Si Como No, a unique resort situated less than half a mile from where Jim first pitched his tent.

Today, energy-efficient air conditioners, solar panels, farm-grown wood and non-toxic resins are just a part of the thinking that has gone into the construction of this environmentally friendly resort. Compost is produced from the kitchen's organic waste and a custom-designed water treatment system allows recycled grey water to be used for landscape irrigation.

The Hotel

The hotel has 40 rooms (Dlx, Sup., or Std.). The spacious and well-appointed rooms include either kitchen or wet bars; plus king, queen or double size beds. Each accommodation has either ocean or jungle view, and most feature private balconies. All of them have stocked mini-bars, large bathrooms, ceiling fans and quality air conditioning systems.

The solar heated Jacuzzi, pool, swim up bar and water slide are contoured into the jungle terraces and harmonize with the adjacent bar & grill, all overlooking the serene jungle and nearby Pacific beaches.

The hotel features both a seafood restaurant, and pool-side bar & grill, a conference center, and a 46 seat private laser movie theater equipped with a state of the art THX/DVD Audio Visual System. New additions include the Regalame Art Gallery & Gift Shop, Internet Cafe, and Deluxe Honeymoon Suite with Jacuzzi garden bathroom.
